This data represents all thoroughbred horses that died during a race or were euthanized as a result of race-related injuries in Kentucky between January 2010 and June 2019.
The data on horse names, death dates, tracks and injuries were provided by the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission in June 2019. The rest of the data was drawn from Equibase, a racing website that tracks performance and ownership of race horses. If you see any potential errors, please let us know at investigate@kycir.org.
